Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Vernon Petrich:

Fr. Vernon Petrich was removed from ministry in 1983 after serving at St. Basil in Vallejo, CA, from 1980-1983. Petrich then returned to his Salvatorian community in Wisconsin. Allegations were received to the Diocese of Sacramento in 1987 and again in 1992 of sexual abuse by Petrich towards boys under the age of 18 in the 1980s. Petrich left the Society of the Divine Savior in 1994. The allegations were deemed credible and Petrich was named publicly as accused on the Diocese of Sacramento list in 2019.

Petrich’s current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
