Lawsuit Filed Against Massage Envy in North Miami for Sexual Misconduct

On October 25, 2021, Horowitz Law filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court against the North Miami franchise of Massage Envy after massage therapist Jorge Perez Reyes allegedly assaulted a female client. The Massage Envy franchise is located at 1815 NE 123 North Miami, Florida 33181.

Allegations in the Complaint

According to the client, she went to Massage Envy on April 11, 2021, to receive a deep tissue massage and was assigned to Jorge Perez Reyes. She entered the room, disrobed, and laid face down on the massage table.  At the start of the 90-minute session, the client says Reyes began making inappropriate comments that made her uncomfortable. When she asked for a chest pillow, Perez Reyes reportedly said, "I guess we have a lot of big booby women here today because we are out of chest pillows."

As the session continued, so did Perez Reyes's inappropriate behavior, the client recalls. Perez Reyes allegedly used his hands and fingers to make hand motions to "simulate how a man would pleasure himself."  After the first part of the massage, the client says Perez Reyes instructed her to turn over on her back for a stretching session. He allegedly began to caress the client's face and make inappropriate noises in her ear.   Shortly after communicating how uncomfortable she was, the client says Perez Reyes moved his hand from her upper thigh to her vagina. The client claims that she kicked Reyes off of her and demanded that he leave the room.

Updates on Perez Reyes and Massage Envy in North Miami

At this time, it is unclear whether Perez Reyes is still employed at the Massage Envy franchise or if any steps are being taken to address the client's report.
