Dept of Health Files Complaint Against Tampa Massage Therapist Alleging Sexual Misconduct

The Florida Department of Health filed an Administrative Complaint on August 8, 2019 accusing massage therapist Alexander Aden of committing sexual misconduct with a female client during a massage therapy appointment.  The incident is alleged to have happened at the Massage LuXe located at 1706 South Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, Florida.  In recent years, several massage therapists working at Massage LuXe locations throughout Florida have been cited for alleged sexual misconduct.

Alexander Aden has been licensed as a massage therapist since July 2016.  According to the Complaint, during the massage,Aden removed his client’s panties and rubbed her vagina.  He is then alleged to have have placed his client’s hand on his clothed penis.  Removing a patient’s panties, rubbing a patient’s vagina, and placing a patient’s hand on a therapist’s clothed penis are outside the scope of practice of massage therapy.

All sexual activity involving a massage therapist and client is strictly prohibited in Florida.  Clients of massage therapists are placed in isolated, vulnerable settings where they can be subject to abuse by their massage therapists. Due to the potential for abuse that is inherent under these circumstances,
massage therapists must possess good judgment and good moral character in order to safely practice massage therapy and must refrain from placing their clients in situations that violate their safety and welfare.
